We have a brand new strategic plan with embedded initiatives connected to diversity, equity, inclusion integrated into our vision for the future of the organization. We see equal service and access for all members of the public as an essential function of why we exist. This year, we've worked with a DEI consultant on our hiring and board recruitment practices and will continue to improve our policies and procedures to ensure that they reflect our desire to make sure that all people feel a sense of connection to and belonging in our library.
