Organization Description
The All Learners Network is an organization that provides professional learning for teachers. Our goal is for every child to receive math instruction that allows them the opportunities that come from math - high school graduation, college and career readiness. We teach math pedagogy that creates access for every child, regardless of ability or circumstance. Our company, which has grown revenue over $1M this year, has converted to a C Corporation. We're looking for board members who can help guide our organization toward financial success while keeping us focused on our education mission and ideals.
Organization's Approach to Diversity, Equity, Belonging, & Inclusion

A foundational basis of ALN is inclusion and differentiation.

We emphasize that understanding mathematics is a non-negotiable need for every student. Students who are successful with Algebra 1 are much more likely to graduate from high school. Those who understand Algebra 2, are more likely to go to college - even if they don't go into a STEM career.

We build all of our workshops around creating access for all students. This includes teaching discourse that makes space for everyone's voice, allowing a wide variety of strategies to be nurtured so each child can make meaning of the math they do, using materials that facilitate learning, even for those with learning challenges. We have workshops that address bias, and we're developing workshops on SEL and belonging in math class.

As a Vermont organization we are disproportionately white. We're looking for board members who can offer broader perspective.
