Organization Description
The Community Sailing Center is a community-based nonprofit organization providing access, education, and recreation on Lake Champlain for almost 8,000 people annually. The new Community Waterfront Center is a vital hub on the shores of the lake where community members and visitors to Burlington gather to play and learn on the lake together.
The Board of Directors donates their expertise and time to create, maintain, and pave the way for the Community Sailing Center’s future. They are dedicated to seeing the Community Sailing Center achieve and exceed its goals.Organization's Approach to Diversity, Equity, Belonging, & Inclusion
2023 will be CSC’s third year of proudly pioneering the initiative to provide campers between 11-15 who identify as BIPOC a 100% fully paid and supported summer camp experience of up to 4 weeks. Through this initiative, we aim to create new summer opportunities and recreation options for kids who come from diverse communities and families.
Board Terms and Term Limits

One monthly 90-minute board meeting. At least one monthly 60-minute committee meetingStipends for Board Membership
