Organization Description
Green Up Vermont’s mission is to promote the stewardship of our state’s natural landscape and waterways and the livability of our communities by involving people in Green Up Day and raising public awareness about the health, economic, and visual benefits of a litter-free environment year-round.
We are a 52 year-old nonprofit that is well loved by many generations of Vermonters - without their volunteerism we would not exist - and we are so proud to be the organizers of this important work for our beautiful state.
We have a 13 member board and offer additional action teams that focus on various initiatives. We work well together and will be pleased to welcome you to the board.Organization's Approach to Diversity, Equity, Belonging, & Inclusion
We are in the process of adopting VLCT's Declaration of Inclusion which has had the support of many of Vermont's towns. We will be voting on this at our September meeting and anticipate unanimous support.
