Organization Description
We nurture the economic prosperity, ecological health, and social connectivity of people, businesses, organizations and communities in Vermont for the benefit and well-being of all who live here by providing business assistance, value chain facilitation, network development, and strategic planning in agriculture and food systems, forest products, waste management, renewable energy, and environmental technology sectors.
Our Board of 11 members includes 8 independent members, the Secretary of Agriculture (or designee), the Secretary of Commerce & Community Development (or designee), and 1 seat appointed by the Governor. The board does not engage in the day-to-day management of the organization but rather stays at the elevation of strategic direction and planning, legal and fiduciary accountability.Organization's Approach to Diversity, Equity, Belonging, & Inclusion
One of our 6 core values is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
We have an internal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging team actively working on our internal culture, policies and program integration.
